On June 2–3, 2025, the NaFi-Get-Aus project team participated in the first MetaFin-conference „Finanzbildungsforschung im Fokus“ (Financial Education Research in Focus) at the University of Mannheim. As part of the project pitch sessions, we presented our research on sustainable financial education in vocational training for technical occupations. The conference offered a variety of impulses – including keynotes, workshops, and a panel discussion – and provided space for interdisciplinary exchange with around 130 participants from 73 sub-projects within the BMBF funding line „Forschung zu finanzieller Bildung“ (Research on Financial Education).
On 1 April 2025, NaFi-Get-Aus was launched to develop modular teaching and learning arrangements for sustainable financial education that are specifically tailored to technical and industrial vocational training courses, as well as corresponding online training for teachers. The focus is currently on analysing requirements: what content and competencies do trainees need? The findings from this analysis will be directly incorporated into the design of the training areas
